Triple-layer safety architecture
Sumray has aerosol fire suppression built into the battery, not added on. Module-level protection means a fault in one module doesn’t shut down the whole system. We install to Australian standards and follow the manufacturer’s guide, which also keeps your warranty valid.

What does 10,000 cycles mean in real life?
At one full cycle a day, 10,000 cycles is over 27 years of daily use. It is a design rating, not a guarantee, and warranty terms apply.
What does the 15 year warranty cover?
Sumray’s 15 year warranty covers defects in the battery’s hardware and electronics for 15 years from installation. It also guarantees the battery keeps at least 60% of its usable energy for 15 years, or until 10,000 full charge cycles, whichever comes first. Claims go through your installer, and Sumray covers replacement parts and, in some areas, transport and labour. Report any fault within one month.
Which inverter do I need?
Battery size and inverter size do different jobs. The battery stores energy, so it decides how long power lasts. The inverter decides how much power can flow at once, so it decides how many appliances can run together.
Think about your evening. If the oven, aircon and EV charger all run at the same time, they need more power than a small inverter can supply. The rest gets pulled from the grid.
We check your appliances, power use and switchboard at your free on-site inspection, then recommend the right size for your home.
Can I add more battery later?
Sumray batteries are built from 14kWh stackable modules. Start with 28kWh and add modules later, up to 4 modules up to 56kWh per inverter.
Will it work with my existing solar?
Often, yes. We can add a Sumray battery to many existing solar systems. Sumray must be paired with a Solis inverter, so the first check is whether your current inverter is compatible or needs replacing. We also check your panel array, switchboard and how you use power, then size the battery and inverter to suit. Every home is different, so we confirm everything at a free on-site inspection.
Is it suitable for coastal homes?
Sumray is IP66 rated with C4 corrosion protection, designed for demanding conditions. If your home is near the coast, we check the install site first and request written approval from Sumray before installing, so your warranty stays valid.
