HGNESS FAQs
Questions about HGNESS.
How big can an HGNESS battery get?
HGNESS batteries are built from 5.12kWh modules. Systems start at 3 modules (15.36kWh) and go up to 12 modules (61.44kWh), so there's a size for most homes and small businesses.
Can I add more battery later?
Yes. You can add 5.12kWh modules to your stack up to 61.44kWh. We'll check your inverter can handle the extra capacity before we add to it.
Which inverter does an HGNESS battery work with?
We pair HGNESS with a Solinteg hybrid inverter for single phase homes, or a Solis hybrid inverter for three phase homes and businesses. We size it at your free on-site inspection.
What happens if there's a fire?
HGNESS batteries have an automatic foam suppression system that activates if it detects fire or smoke inside the battery. That sits on top of LFP cells, pack-level fire protection and a battery management system that watches every module.
Can the battery go outside?
Yes. The IP66 enclosure is rated for indoor or outdoor installs. We'll still pick a spot with good airflow and some shade where possible.
Is HGNESS eligible for the battery rebate?
Yes. HGNESS HG-C&I-HV batteries from 15.36kWh to 61.44kWh are on the Clean Energy Council's approved battery list until 31 December 2027. Installed by an accredited installer, they qualify for the federal Cheaper Home Batteries rebate, and we handle the paperwork.
What warranty does HGNESS come with?
10 year warranty. Claims go through SunHarvest as your installer.
Can I monitor my battery?
Yes. HGNESS systems come with online monitoring, so you can check your solar, battery and grid use online.
